Dryer Vents & Exhaust Fans

You know its time to clean the dryer vent when:

  • Two complete cycles are necessary for clothes to completely dry.
  • You notice excess humidity in the proximity of the dryer, such as moist walls or a damp smell.
  • There is a burnt smell in the area of the dryer.
  • Condensation forms on the windows especially when the dryer has recently run.

Our dryer vent service call includes:

  • Removal of the dryer vent to clean out excess lint and debris.
  • If you have a plastic vent hose we will replace it with a metal connection to reduce the chances of fire.
  • Inspection and cleaning of the hose and vent to ensure that they are clear to the vent termination.
  • Replacement of the cover on the vent termination to ensure that animals cannot gain access to the house through this opening.

Exhaust fans

Providing adequate ventilation in your bathroom with the installation of an exhaust fan is the best way to manage mold and mildew and avoid damage caused by moisture and condensation. Even if you have a window in your bathroom, you will find a well-placed exhaust fan much more effective in drawing the moist air out of the room to the exterior of the house. It doesn't necessarily pay to hold off on installing an exhaust fan until you are ready to remodel the bathroom, especially if it is used on a regular basis. A well-ventilated bathroom stays cleaner and is easier to maintain over the life of the room.
