Our organization provides opportunities for lead and journeyman carpenters, carpenter's assistants and home maintenance technicians (handymen). You must have the appropriate experience for the position for which you are applying and meet the following criteria:

  • Be able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Live in near our East Bay service area
  • Superior knowledge of or willingness to learn construction methods and techniques
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis including lifting 100 pounds
  • Daily use of a truck with rack
  • Current auto insurance and registration
  • Clean DMV (no more than one point)
  • No DUI's or felony convictions
  • Be able to legally work in the United States

Depending on the position, these skills, training and licenses are a plus.

  • Contractor's license
  • College education
  • Strong computer skills especially word, excel and project and access to a computer at home
  • Lead Safety and/or Green Building certification
